150415 Jun Ji Hyun to grace the cover of 'Elle' in five different countries!

Jun Ji Hyun gives off an air of sophistication as she will be gracing the April cover of 'Elle' for six different locations across Asia--China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Singapore!

Jun Ji Hyun is proving her power as a Hallyu star. Beloved for her hit SBS drama 'You Who Came from the Stars' and her now legendary depiction of the character Chun Song Yi, Jun Ji Hyun dishes out details of filming the drama with 'Elle' in an interview and also talks about her upcoming movie, 'Assassination' for the April issue. A sneak peek of the interview can be read here.

According to reports, Jun Ji Hyun has shot separate cover pictures for China and Hong Kong. The Taiwan, Malaysian, Vietnamese, and Singaporean covers are scheduled to be published soon!

150410 Jun Ji Hyun reported to be in a quarrel with neighbors over construction space

Looks like Jun Ji Hyun isn't getting along with her neighbors all too well (a la Cheon Song Yi?). On April 8, it was reported that her neighbors are making complaints regarding the modifications Jun Ji Hyun made to her 7 billion won (approx. $6.4 million USD) villa.

According to one media outlet, Jun Ji Hyun officially purchased her villa located in the Samseong neighborhood of Seoul back on June 25 2014. The actress then began construction, completely demolishing the villa and rebuilding it anew. However, neighbors are complaining that the awkward placement of Jun Ji Hyun's new parking lot has caused them inconveniences for almost a year.

A property representative commented, "The villa is lined up along a narrow road. Jun Ji Hyun's house is located on the C-line. If she builds her parking lot, it will face the D-line building's entrance. Of course it will cause traffic."

Whether Jun Ji Hyun will make changes to her plans or if her neighbors will take legal action is still unknown.

Presently, Jun Ji Hyun's villa is still torn down. Although the actress is not currently residing there, she is known to possess a lot of property elsewhere. In fact, she's estimated to have around a whopping 30 billion won ($27 million USD) worth of property in total. In 2007, she purchased a 9 billion won ($8.2 million USD) building in the Nonhyun neighborhood. Its current market price is around 15 billion won ($14 million USD). In 2013, Jun Ji Hyun additionally bought a 3.1 billion won ($2.8 million USD) villa in the Ichon neighborhood before going on to buy the villa in the Samseong neighborhood.

150409 Jun Ji Hyun looks just as beautiful in B-cut photos for 'Shesmiss'

If you've taken a look at Jun Ji Hyun's photos for 'Shesmiss' a little while back, you might have noticed how stunning she looks. Now the B-cut photos from that photoshoot have been released, and the photos are actually equally as beautiful.

It's a wonder why these photos are even considered B-cut as she showed off her lean physique, looking chic and ready for spring in light jackets and casual clothing.

Take a look at some more photos below! Don't you think they look just as nice as her A-cut photos?

150406 Who Wore it Better: Tiffany vs. Jun Ji Hyun

We're back for another round of 'Who Wore it Better'! This time, our challengers are two fan favorites--Girls' Generation's Tiffany and actress Jun Ji Hyun.

The two starlets were seen wearing a pink, one-piece Valentino dress (can be found here for $2,690 USD). With its A-line shape and flouncy sleeves, it's a bold, girly piece that looks as if it came right out of Barbie's closet. While Tiffany was spotted wearing the dress during the SMTOWN exhibition at the COEX building in December 2014, Jun Ji Hyun gave the dress a whirl on March 26 during a perfume brand Hera event.

The dress makes for a simple outfit by itself, but there are slight differences to how the two women wore it. Tiffany left her dress alone for the most part, wearing nothing else but her silver heels. She offers a clean, uncomplicated look. Meanwhile, Jun Ji Hyun decorates her dress a bit more, sporting a floral collar, chunky rings, and black heels.

I can't say I like the dress. The cut and the color make the dress look as if it were tailored for someone in their teens or even tweens. If I have to pick a winner, I'd say Tiffany wins this round, only because the fit of the dress looks a bit more flattering on her and her silver heels complement the pink nicely. As for Jun Ji Hyun, I'm not a fan of her floral collar as it adds to the childlike and innocent vibe of the dress, which doesn't really suit her mature and sophisticated image.

What do you guys think? Who wore it better?

150318 Jun Ji Hyun talks about Chun Song Yi in stunning shoot with 'Elle'

Jun Ji Hyun exuded elegance and class in her shoot with 'Elle' and talked about her latest project, movie 'Assassination', which she finished filming recently in February. In the film, she plays the part of elite sniper Ahn Ohk Yoon, and the actress explained she did feel some burden to pull off the character well but tried to take it in as calmly as possible.

On one of her most popular roles as the quirky Chun Song Yi in the hit drama 'You Who Came From the Stars', Jun Ji Hyun said, "Honestly, she was a difficult character to act out," explaining how she kept having to portray the character positively, but wanted to show something more, which was a burden. She continued, "While doing 'You Who Came From the Stars', I felt a sense of duty that I had to make people laugh once per episode."

She also explained how she preferred acting out characters that were different from her true personality like in movies 'Berlin' and 'Assassination' because it actually felt like acting to her rather than when she played somebody similar to herself.

150313 Park Joon Hyung confirms it's Jun Ji Hyun's voice in g.o.d's song 'Lies'

On the March 13 broadcast of KBS radio program, 'Jang Dong Min and Lady Jane's 2 O'Clock,' g.o.d's Park Joon Hyung answered the question that was on many people's minds regarding the classic, "Lies."

He had to choose g.o.d's best four songs, so he chose "Lies" as one, which is an excellent choice for sure. He said, "When we perform it, the fans do the narration by Jun Ji Hyun in her stead." His use of "narration" is interesting as, if I'm correct, the only part consisting of a woman's voice are shrieks of "No, no!"

Jang Dong Min replied, "There was lots of talk about whether this voice really was Jun Ji Hyun's." Park Joon Hyung confirmed, "She was in the same agency and we knew her since her period of anonymity, so Jun Ji Hyun ended up doing it. It's a really fun incident."

He continued, "Thanks to this song, we were even able to win the Daesang (Grand Prize) and were able to use standing mics for the first time since becoming a singer." Lady Janesaid, "I was an H.O.T fan, but this song was so good that my pride was hurt. [g.o.d] became popular, so I stamped my feet angrily," making everyone laugh.

150225 Jun Ji Hyun is the definition of sophistication in 'Shesmiss's trench coats inspired by the actress herself

Jun Ji Hyun looks stunning in new trench coats created by women's clothing brand, 'Shesmiss', but even more interesting is the fact that this 'Jun Ji Hyun Blossom Trench Coat Collection' was inspired by the actress herself! With her fashionista status, it's not surprising a line has named a whole collection after her.

With her tall stature and chic nonchalance, Jun Ji Hyun wows with pastel and neutral colored clothing for the upcoming spring. Just like the rest of us, she is probably looking very much forward to the warmer weather, and she's certainly ready for it looking classy and sophisticated in these transition pieces.

150217 Jun Ji Hyun reported to have gone vacationing in Japan with her husband for Valentine's Day

According to reports by Hong Kong media, actress Jun Ji Hyun went for a romantic vacation with her husband for Valentine's Day! Can you say aww?

On February 17, it was reported that the couple revisited the country where Jun Ji Hyun was proposed to by her doting husband, so the trip was especially meaningful. According to this article as well as witnesses, Jun Ji Hyun and her husband enjoyed a shopping spree on the streets of Harajuku on Valentine's day. She was spotted petting a dog on the street and looking overall natural and comfortable.

Previously, the two were spotted enjoying a soccer date at the Barcelona Stadium in Spain back in May, 2014, so it appears they are comfortable and have no qualms about appearing before the public.

Must have been a lovely sight for the people in Japan to behold!

150202 Kim Jong Kook says he thought of Yoon Eun Hye as 'his woman' during recordings

Kim Jong Kook talked about Yoon Eun Hye on the February 2 edition of SBS's 'Healing Camp' as the two have been known for a long time as an on-screen couple via past variety show 'X-Man' similarly to the 'Monday Couple' on 'Running Man.'

MC Lee Kyung Kyu said, "The originators of melodrama on variety programs were Kim Jong Kook and Yoon Eun Hye," referring to their virtual couple relationship on 'X-Man.' MCSung Yuri asked if they had dated to which a taken aback Kim Jong Kook replied, "It would've been nice if we had dated, right?" and laughed.

He continued, "When we were recording, I would think of her as my woman. Within this, if a woman who was coupled up with me was being asked out by another man, I thought that I'd have to protect her."

MC Kim Je Dong also brought up an ideal type, saying he prepared an 'Ideal Type World Cup' for Kim Jong Kook to do. When the named women were Sung Yuri, Suzy, and Yoon Eun Hye, Kim Jong Kook was unable to hide his happy smile.

Kim Je Dong noted, "Your face gets red just at the sight of Yoon Eun Hye's name. Do you really like her?" He chose Yoon Eun Hye, saying, "Yoon Eun Hye was the ideal type I liked." He said, explaining why he did not choose Sung Yuri, "She has a boyfriend, so I didn't think it was right."

He then said in a shy video message to Yoon Eun Hye, "I want to tell you thank you. When you're not busy, let's eat together."

150205 'Running Man' starts a RT movement on Twitter to get Yoon Eun Hye to appear on the show

With the recent attention back on Kim Jong Kook and Yoon Eun Hye's 'X-Man' loveline following Kim Jong Kook's mention of his former onscreen fling on 'Healing Camp', SBSis finally beginning to pull some strings to make their long-awaited reunion happen!

SBS tweeted on the 5th, "#Running Man summons '#YoonEunHye'! RT to summon Yoon Eun Hye onto Running Man! Achieve 10,000 RTs to bring Yoon Eun Hye onto Running Man #RT_to summom_YoonEunHye #RTGoGo."

SBS also shared a compilation video of the previous mentions of Yoon Eun Hye's name on 'Running Man' which always leaves the 'sparta' Kim Jong Kook flustered without fail, and ends with the request, "Yoon Eun Hye sshi, you will appear on 'Running Man', right?"

150211 Clara denies Polaris Entertainment's claims she is avoiding investigation + Polaris intends to submit a countersuit

Polaris Entertainment stepped up recently to express their intentions to file a countersuit against Clara, causing the actress to likewise speak up in response, denying that she was "hiding out in China" to avoid investigations.

On February 11, the agency revealed that they were preparing a civil case against Clara. A rep stated:

"We are planning a countersuit to the lawsuit to confirm the nonexistent efficacy of her exclusive contract brought up by Clara. We plan to submit a reply to the legal court regarding the chief within the end of February at the latest [and after the Lunar New Year].

"We haven't yet sent in a reply to the civil case suit that Clara's side submitted on December 23, 2014, but this does not mean we won't take action. The blackmailing charge that Polaris had submitted has not completed its investigation by the police first, so our preparations have been delayed.

"Clara is, as usual, taking on her schedule without regard for Polaris. When Clara returns to Korea, the suit will gradually progress."

A rep told 'The Fact,' "The suit ultimately can continue only when Clara returns to the country, but Clara is residing in Hong Kong, and it's hard to put her on a wanted list."

In response to this last statement, Clara's side released a statement on February 11:

"According to the statement released by Polaris's side today, 'Clara is avoiding a police investigation while hiding out in Hong Kong, and it is hard to put a famous person on a wanted list'; this is a very malicious lie. We had submitted her Hong Kong schedule with the dates to the investigator in charge at the regional investigation unit of the Jungnang Police Station when she left for Hong Kong and even text messaged him in Hong Kong, as expected, to tell him that whenever the investigator in charge needs her, she will return to Korea immediately for investigation.

"On top of that, last week, we notified through our attorney that she could undergo investigation whenever, and there was no response in relation to any special schedule for investigation. The reporters even heard Polaris's stance and confirmed the truth with the police once, so we believe similar reports will no longer come out.

"Just like the other multiple examples in the past, Polaris is doing media play first this time, as well. We are trying to take minimal action and refrain from unnecessary verbal battles."

Currently, Clara is filming for her movie in China, which is scheduled to wrap up on February 19.

150204 'Wednesday Food Talk' parodies Clara's infamous text messages to promote upcoming chicken episode

tvN's 'Wednesday Food Talk' posted a parody of Clara's infamous text message scandal via their Facebook page to promote their upcoming chicken episode.

tvN uploaded the above picture and wrote, "Pretty funny! A big deal, must be fun!"

In the picture, a text message conversation can be seen taking place between "Wednesday Food Talk's Facebook Friend" and the show 'Wednesday Food Talk' itself. The former plays the part of Polaris Entertainment's chairman while the latter acts like Clara.

The text messages read:

WFT Facebook friend: "Are you filming? I'm drinking a glass of wine and eating chicken and then I will be going home. Work hard."
WFT: (sends a picture of a chicken) "I'm filming ^^. This week, I'm doing chicken. Please make it go global."
WFT Facebook friend: "Go global? You're giving me a hard task very easily."
WFT: "Mr. Facebook friend~, you'll have fun with me if you work with me this Wednesday night at 11 PM *^^*. (More chicken pictures)"
WFT Facebook friend: "That pose is captivating."
WFT: "Oh yeah! As expected, your ability to see photos is accurate. I'm happy you can see it!"

By taking Clara's text messages word for word and making slight adjustments to fit in 'Wednesday Food Talk's chicken concept, tvN had netizens in a fit of laughs over their parody.

150130 Clara addresses rumors that she manipulated her ranking on '100 Most Beautiful Women in the World 2014'

On January 30, Clara and her representatives addressed rumors that she directly manipulated her ranking in 'Mode Lifestyle Magazine's '100 Most Beautiful Women in the World 2014' list.

Back in October 28, 2014, Clara received attention when she was featured as second place on 'Mode's '100 Most Beautiful Women in the World 2014.' Netizens are now speculating that Clara may have manipulated the rankings as they discovered that she worked with 'Mode' on August 31 in Florida for a photoshoot, two months prior to the list's publication.

On January 30, Clara's representatives said to the press, "It doesn't make sense that Clara would manipulate the rankings. It's not worth responding to this." They continued, "In the past, Clara even said herself in an interview that she thinks the reason she was ranked was because of their connection."

Clara herself commented on her second place saying, "I was surprised and happy. The fact that my name rose among stars Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie, etc. is amazing and made me feel strange."

She continued, "I have had contact with them in the past with a photoshoot. It seems like that connection resulted in my high ranking; thank you."

150129 Clara's manager to meet with advertisers in attempts to settle disputes + Clara to stay abroad for the time being

With advertisers' growing demand to meet with Clara regarding possible penalty fees and contract terminations, the actress's manager, Mr. Kim, has spoken to the press to reveal that he will be the one to meet with them.

Speaking with media outlet Star Today, Mr. Kim opened up about the difficult situation their side has been facing lately, saying, "I have felt down to my bones how difficult and scary it is to go against someone of power."

"Whatever the reason is, we're sorry to the public to be the ones standing in the center of this controversy. I will be meeting with the advertisers soon to figure out a way to amicably resolve the issues."

As mentioned before, several advertisers who had signed with the actress to endorse their products are now threatening to file lawsuits against her for harming their brand image. So it seems Mr. Kim will be stepping up to meet with them, but he will be doing it alone as Clara is still staying abroad and does not have plans to return soon.

Mr. Kim also revealed more of their difficulties, stating, "Honestly, we are feeling betrayed at the tyrannical actions of some of the media outlets and other sources that we had trusted... In this kind of situation, there is no one to trust and turn to. For a while we had no choice but to respond to matters only through our lawyer."

Another rep from Clara's side also revealed to Ilgan Sports regarding the actress's whereabouts, stating, "Clara is currently in Hong Kong shooting for a short film that will be aired during the film festival there. She will not be returning to Korea before the month is over. After she finishes filming, she'll be heading over to the U.S. to take on drama and movie auditions. She will be carrying out various overseas activities for the next two months... We have no choice but to continue with our scheduled activities, we can't change them. It's expected that Clara will return to Korea around March. The schedules she'll be carrying out until then have been all decided on before all this, so she can't avoid them."

Regarding the Korean Entertainment Management Association's statement released that urged the actress to halt her celebrity activities while she resolves the matters at hand, her side stated, "Clara will be carrying out her overseas activities for the time being. We have nothing to say regarding the statement made by the association."

150128 Multiple entertainment reps claim Clara even lied about her age

Things are going fast downhill for Clara as the Korean Entertainment Management Association recently released a statement frowning upon her actions as a celebrity, and, in other news, entertainment reps are stepping up to tell media outlets that Clara had also lied about her age!

According to Sports Today on January 28, multiple entertainment reps disclosed, "Clara's real birthday is January 15, 1985; it is one year earlier than what it says on her official profile, which says January, 1986." This would mean that instead of having turned 30 in Korea according to her official profile, she had turned 31.

While it isn't uncommon for celebrities to lie about their age, as one rep even states, "It isn't an unusual case for a female celebrity to promote as one or two years younger [than her real age], so nobody concerned themselves that much with this and let it pass," this instance does appear to be another of the many lies that Clara has been speculated to have made during her career thus far.

Especially, with this news, people are wondering if she also lied in an interview in which she was asked about her thoughts on turning thirty. She had stated, "I regret that I didn't study languages in my 20's. This year, I want to study Chinese."

150127 Clara revealed to have paid off cancellation fee to her former agency, Galaxia Communications

It was recently reported that actress Clara had paid off the cancellation fee in full to her former agency, Galaxia Communications.

In previous reports, the text messages between Clara and the Chairman of Polaris Entertainment suggested she was in a difficult position, claiming that her contract with Galaxia hadn't ended yet and she had yet to finish paying for the contract cancellation fees.

The starting point of the issue was when Clara signed with Martin Kyle despite the fact that she still was legally signed under Galaxia Communications. In June of 2013, Martin Kyle had a contract in place with Galaxia Communications, promising that they will pay 10,000,000 KRW ( ~$9,300 USD) for 40 months (~$372,000 in total) for Clara's contract cancellation fee. However, Clara cancelled her contract with Martin Kyle just after eight months and was left with 325,000,000 KRW (~ $301,000 USD) in remaining cancellation fees.

With the pressures of having to pay back the cancellation fee and the lack of gigs being booked, Clara decided to sign under Polaris Entertainment in hopes of receiving help in paying back the fees. In the Kakaotalk messages that were previously released by Dispatch, Clara expressed her distress about receiving a certification from Galaxia Communications, stating that she had breached the terms of the contract. Now, it appears she doesn't have to worry about paying the fees any longer.

On January 27, a rep from Clara's former agency told Sports Today, "Clara paid off the cancellation fee in relation to the contract issues that she had with our company last December. The fact that our company keeps being mentioned even though this situation doesn't have anything to do with us puts us in a difficult spot."

Meanwhile, reps of Clara also revealed that she had paid off the cancellation fees to Galaxia Communications and did not receive any help from Polaris Entertainment. Polaris Entertainment stated, "We cannot confirm that Clara paid back the fees in full, but we [can confirm that] we did not pay on her behalf."

150127 Advertisers looking to take legal action against Clara for harming their brand image

It has been reported that advertisers are preparing to file a damage suit against their endorsement model Clara for the damage caused to their brand image, following the news of Clara and Polaris Entertainment's ongoing contract dispute.

One company told Sports DongA, "We signed an endorsement deal with Clara last December so we are flustered that this happened in the span of a month... We are discussing this internal issue seriously... The product promotion featuring Clara has currently come to a halt. Although there is time left in the contract, we are in talks regarding taking legal action for a nullification of the endorsement contract and compensation."

A Polaris Entertainment rep told MyDaily on the 27th, "Clara is the endorsement model for around 5-6 brands from cosmetics to outdoor apparel... The advertisement-agency reps are saying that the advertisers suffered a damage to their image through Clara's incident, and are bringing up their complaints. After the scandal broke out, there was an uproar among the advertisers, and we predicted that they would take legal action."

"We cannot get a hold of Clara at all. We are aware that she is working with her manager Mr. Kim... We're in a situation where we can't know what Clara is up to and where she is... Because the investigation is going on, we are aware that our legal team is keeping in contact with Clara's legal representative. But we cannot get in contact with Clara herself... We are also waiting for Clara's sincere apology."

It has also been said that these advertisement contracts are not closely affiliated with Polaris Entertainment as Clara had signed them on her own.

As mentioned before, Polaris had filed against Clara for breaching the contract, and Clara in turn also filed against the agency asking for her contract to be terminated without penalty while citing sexual harassment as one of the reasons. The two have since gone back and forth releasing their own sides of the story with various KakaoTalk histories and official statements.

C: Chairman~ It'll be enjoyable if you do it with me *^^*

L: I do feel that'd be the case..

C: Oh yeah!

From hereon, the text messages get less casual and increasingly more business-related as Clara talks to the Chairman about her unhappiness with a picture, asking him to stop the picture from being used by an advertising agency on his day off. He responds as helpfully as ever. She sends more and more pictures and increasingly asks for more favors with which he complies.

In June, shows his concern for his safety while she's in Cebu and the two continue to update each other on what they are doing, returning to a casual relationship.

She sends him pictures, causing him to compliment her by calling her a businesswoman and talented and innocent-looking fox. He says he should have a photo exhibition and asks how happy he should make her, saying she could be his priority number one as a woman who is a handful. She later says how upset she is about her contract, asking for a change, which he says he understands.

Starting in July, things begin to fall apart as the Chairman writes, "I'm upset! I'm sincerely trying to help you... Let's say from the beginning, I wanted to help you as a close oppa. Because you're rushing it, even though it's late, I'm making the employers review it," expressing his frustration at her making them hurry things up when it isn't important. Clara apologizes.

Later, she sends him many, many pictures from her lingerie shots to which he responds with, "Pretty! Sexy!" and, "Your gaze and poses are captivating!"

Starting July 23, things start to quickly unravel as the two fall deeply into conflict as she expresses displeasure over the contract and he asks her to believe in him.

On August 14, he writes, "I'm on a business trip overseas and going to a meeting over a meal. I thought of Clara .. It's a shame when I think about it again .. When you first came to me, I happily talked to you and enjoyably did my best to help you .. I feel the same way and I still want to help you as a part of our good relationship and so that you could succeed, but I don't want to be used by ____ . . . Whenever you met me, you talked about the hard times you've had and how lonely you've been, but how you gained strength working with me. I believed those words and thought I should help you no matter what in the manner you want and took care of you personally, all of which you know well," and complained about trying to insert Kim, who may possibly be the manager she claimed he allegedly fired without her consent, into the company to take care of all her things. He said he was reminded of another person who a couple years back also tried to annul a contract by finding different reasons and advised her to take out Kim and personally find an attorney if she no longer wanted to work with the company and wanted to fight against it.

He continues on to say that he did not want to endlessly waste his time and energy, but his desire to help her was stronger than his pride, agreeing to meet with her for wine.

On August 30, he asks why she keeps ignoring his words, saying she should have ended with going to Jeju Island with Kim instead of also going to America with him with the possibility of exposing something to all of the reporters.

After Ladies' Code's car accident, the chairman tells Clara he has no time because of the incident to which she responds, "I only want to focus on work. Chairman, you gain strength, too." He then expresses his utter grief regarding EunB's death, saying how a lot of celebrities came to show their respects and how he did not feel completely good about her speaking only about herself during this time.

He continues to speak in long texts about the heartbreak and stress, then goes into a lecture about her as a celebrity, dictating on what influence a celebrity should have, and bringing Kim back up, ending finally with, "You cannot beat truth with lies!"

150128 [Updated] The Korean Entertainment Management Association advises Clara to halt her activities to prevent facing consequences

The Korean Entertainment Management Association released their official statement regarding the current controversy with actress Clara, who has become embroiled in a complicated lawsuit with Polaris Entertainment.

The shortened version of the official statement on January 28 says:

"Korean Entertainment Management Association's special organization, the Rewards and Punishment Mediation Ethics Committee, has adopted the important matter in relation to Clara, actress of popular culture and arts, that has recently broken out and express its ethical stance in order to help the wholesome development of the Korean entertainment business.

While the results of the investigation have not been released yet, Clara, as an involved party of the dispute that has arisen from a problem involving her contract with the agency and is becoming a controversy, can been seen as an even more severe problem as the situation is receiving a lot of public criticism from society and the sensitive topic of sexual humiliation is especially becoming a public controversy; therefore, the aftermath could have an impact on even the public.

As a Korean star and an involved party of the incident that has become a problem, Clara should have garnered the understanding from the public for her activities as a celebrity, respected that, and as a public figure, should have sincerely taken responsibility and behaved with self-discipline, but she has not sufficiently led with that, so we believe we she must refrain herself from continuing her activities as an entertainer in this kind of circumstance."

With her ongoing lawsuits, it doesn't look like she will be active for a while, at least not in South Korea. Meanwhile, her movie 'Working Girl' is currently still in theaters, so there are some concerns about whether her current scandal will have an effect on the movie.

[Update] - The association has revealed that Clara had been issued a warning before regarding her former contract issues she had even before signing with Polaris. However because of her new issues, they are looking into seeing what kind of disciplinary matter they will take against the actress if she continues to promote publicly without properly settling the matters or reflecting. Therefore, it seems they have not actually put a ban preventing her from being active, but are urging her to settle matters with her contract issues before she continues her activities as a celebrity to prevent further consequences.

150120 News outlets report that Clara lied about never meeting Ladies Code members

In response to the criticism Clara has been getting for not attending the funeral of the deceased Ladies' Code members as revealed in her KakaoTalk history, her side explained that this was because Clara had not known the Ladies' Code members and she had been in a conflict with Polaris Entertainment at the time of the funeral. However, netizens are now pointing out that Clara and RiSe did know each other.

On January 19, Dispatch disclosed Clara and Chairman Lee's text message conversations. As some of the conversations occurred immediately after Ladies' Code's tragic car accident, which resulted in the deaths of members EunB and RiSe, Chairman Lee is seen asking Clara why she neither gave her condolences nor attended the funeral as a fellow labelmate.

The text message exchange shows Clara replying to Chairman Lee's protests with, "Chairman, my heart hurts, too. I wanted to go see EunB, but I'm sorry I couldn't go. I'm mourning, too," "I want to just focus on work. Have strength, chairman," and, "Chairman, my heart hurts and I'm tired emotionally, as well. Please help me so we can go back to our past relationship. I hope everything goes well."

On the same day, Clara's side claimed that the text messages were pieced together out of chronological order with the intention of tarnishing Clara's image. They further added, "Clara's relationship with Polaris was not good when Ladies' Code's EunB and RiSe passed away. Clara never met Ladies' Code and didn't know them. In a situation when she is in a conflict with the agency, how could Chairman Lee ask her to attend [the funeral]?"

However, news outlets are pointing out that Clara actually did in fact meet Ladies' Code member RiSe. Reports state that Clara and RiSe both participated in MBC's 'Star Diving Show Splash' back in 2013. In the screenshots shown below, Clara and RiSe can both be seen filming for the same episode. News outlets point out that even if the two had not been friends, they at least must have known of each other as they had filmed together.

150120 Clara writes a letter to explain her side of the story + asks the public to be considerate

In addition to her legal team's response regarding her case against Polaris Entertainment, Clara herself has also released a letter through Twitter and Facebook to explain the situation and ask the public to be considerate so that she may receive a fair trial.

She wrote,

"Hello. This is Clara. Yesterday, before I could even start a formal trial process, I was given a death sentence by a court called the media and felt as if my death sentence had been finalized.

1) Yes, it's true. Like 'Dispatch' reported yesterday, I sent my swimsuit and lingerie photos to Chairman Lee Kyu Tae. Although you may think I was trying to seduce him, I was doing my best to do my work. As he is someone whom I would be embarking on my future career path with, I had sent the Chairman some of the photos that would be included in magazines to ask him what he thought about them and receive confirmation. The photos and KakaoTalk that 'Dispatch' revealed were from right before and after my contract signing, a time period when we had the closest relationship. It was definitely a time period when I had to do my best to make sure I stay on his good side. And it was also a time when the chairman and I had direct communication rather than through various managing directors.
2) Afterwards, a dispute over the contract started with the Chairman not keeping his promise, and during this dispute, he started to suspect there was something going on between myself and my manager. During these circumstances, he sent me text messages in 5 minute intervals after midnight saying I was "refreshing and his heart fluttered" and that he "thought of [me] while drinking wine", so I was very surprised. But I was mostly shocked and was at a loss that even when I told them that I won't reveal my private affairs to them during this contract dispute, they told me they have to know about my personal schedules and even my menstruation dates. I thought these were words that should never be said.
3) I had no choice but to tell my father about these matters, and my father became very angry and sent a documented notice [certification of contents] to the agency that stated 'If you don't at once terminate her contract, I will report you to the police'. Chairman Lee Kyu Tae described this notice as a 'threat' and reported us to the police.
4) It's also true what they said about me going to meet with the Chairman and apologizing saying it was my fault. But this was because I had believed the Polaris lawyer who told me 'If you apologize then we will terminate your contract'. I wanted to apologize and quietly end all this. However, Chairman Lee Kyu Tae once again did not keep his promise and captured this apology with CCTV and has sent it in as evidence for their lawsuit. What's even more astonishing about this is that Chairman Lee Kyu Tae was the one who had said to me before we started the meeting, "Let's not record each other. Turn off your phone. I'll turn off mine too..." And rather than recording, he video taped me. But luckily, I have recordings too that will back up my claims. The Chairman always told me he was confident about his ability to manage matters of politics, human networks, and the media. He is definitely not someone I can win over. I'm not asking you all to be on my side. However, what I'm pleading for is that the public be considerate and allow me to at least have the right to a fair trial that is promised to me by the law.

150116 Polaris Entertainment fires back at Clara by revealing their willingness to publicly release KakaoTalk messages and contract

On January 16, Polaris Entertainment fired back at actress Clara with an official statement regarding the statements that she had made, revealing that they were willing to publicly release KakaoTalk messages along with the terms of her contract.

They stated, "We will release what seems to be the focal point of the controversy, the Kakaotalk messages between Clara and the agency's chairman along with the full text of the contract that she claims is a non-exclusive contract in order to prove that it is an exclusive contract."

The agency also added, "However, if we were to release the details of the messages and the contract one-sidedly, then there might be an issue of confidentiality obligation or issues with defamation. So we ask for Clara's approval in publicly releasing the documents that are listed above."

Polaris Entertainment stated that, in order to protect their artists and employees, they were willing to release documents in full. They said, "The KakaoTalk messages and the contract have already been submitted to the investigation agency and it's a matter of time until the truth will be revealed, but because the issue has become a controversy within the media, we are proposing a public release in order to protect the morale of the company's employees and the artists, despite the fact that it is something that directly deals with the chairman's status in society."

Lastly, the agency revealed that although they have already submitted a complaint against Clara for blackmailing and threat, they were initially willing to give the actress a chance to apologize and go back to her original standing and requested that she did not press charges.

Meanwhile, it was reported that Clara participated in two investigations so far, totaling over 12-hours, draining the actress mentally and physically. A representative of Clara told the press that despite the mental shock that Clara is receiving from the investigation, she continues to carry out her duties as a public figure so that she doesn't disappoint her fans.

150115 [Updated] Clara's side speaks up in more detail about the sexual harassment case against Polaris Entertainment

Eyebrows are being raised at the vast differences in statements between actress Clara andPolaris Entertainment. Previously, it was reported that Polaris Entertainment was suing Clara for unknown reasons and more recently, it was revealed that she had filed a civil suitagainst them to nullify her contract while claiming she had felt sexually harassed. In retaliation, Polaris Entertainment claimed on January 15 that she had threatened them to void her contract or she would say she had been sexually harassed.

On the same day Polaris Entertainment released the long statement about Clara's threat, her law firm, SW Law, released its own official statement:

"Clara's exclusive company is KoreanaClara, which Clara's parents have established, and the opposite party, Ilkwang Polaris, is an agency company that was delegated a portion of authority from KoreanaClara to enter into casting negotiations for Clara's CF and movie appearances.

On that note, Ilkwang Polaris is not Clara's agency. Furthermore, KoreanaClara was first established after which KoreanaClara and Ilkwang Polaris signed an agency contract; the rumor going around that Clara signed an exclusive contract with Ilkwang Polaris and then after she started doing well wanted independence from the company is not true.

This case could have been handled civilly as a usual breach of contract and cancellation problem; hence, suing her on the basis of threat was not proper, and it can be conjectured that Ilkwang Polaris sued Clara for [allegedly] threatening them because Clara is a celebrity and they considered that, in the case of disputes with celebrities, a criminal case more than a civil case would be a bigger blow to an opposing party that is a celebrity.

Clara has actually already underwent a police investigation in two parts that went over 12 hours, resulting in a huge mental and physical trauma, not to mention Clara's mother even received hospital treatment due to trauma. Despite that, Clara is faithfully fulfilling her schedule for celebrity promotions as planned in order to avoid disappointing the people around her."

[Update] - To address Polaris' statement that pointed out Clara had filed a civil suit instead of criminal suit against them (which is unusual for a sexual harassment case), and that Clara apologized and admitted she lied about sexual harassment, the law firm stated,

"We filed a civil suit because it would take extra legal investigation into whether a criminal charge can be pressed even if words that bring about sexual humiliation are said, and Clara herself did not want to make this into a criminal issue in the first place.

Also in the position of a celebrity, no matter how wrong the other side is, it is very difficult for a celebrity to press for a criminal suit. This is because it is in the best of the celebrity to carry these matters out quietly as it is the celebrity who suffers more harm [due to their public image] while the court process takes place with their privacy being revealed, rather than the opposing party.

In regards to Polaris' statement that Clara had come to apologize and admit that she had made up the claims about sexual harassment, this is also the twisted version of the truth.

On September 22, 2014, when Clara's father had sent a letter notifying their wish to terminate the contract due to Polaris chief's inappropriate words [to Clara], the lawyer from the agency told her father, "First, you have to apologize for one-sidedly asking for the contract to be terminated with no penalty fee and for threatening to report the chief to the police. Then we will negotiate on terminating the contract and the amount of penalty fee." This was sent by KakaoTalk messenger, and we have this in evidence.

This day, Clara made up her mind to apologize to the Polaris chief in order to get her contract terminated, and visited the chief at the law office to do what the agency's lawyer had told her to do and apologized. However, Polaris recorded this conversation and tuned it over into the police and filed a criminal suit against Clara by saying that she had demanded for her contract to be terminated without penalty and that she had threatened to report the Polaris chief to the police. And this criminal suit had been filed after Clara had done exactly what Polaris' lawyer told her to do.

So during the police investigation, Clara had told the police, "I only did what I was told by the Polaris lawyer and apologized because I had believed that they would terminate by contract if I did. However, it is the truth that I had received words of sexual harassment which is what caused me to ask for the termination of the contract." She then submitted the various KakaoTalk messages as evidence to the police."

What are your thoughts on this increasingly complicated story?

150115 Polaris Entertainment says Clara had previously admitted to them that she lied about sexual harassment in order to get out of her contract

Polaris Entertainment responded to Clara's civil suit to nullify her contract with the agency due to alleged sexual harassment by revealing that they previously pressed charges against the actress prior to her own lawsuit for breach of contract. They also mentioned that Clara had admitted to them, before she filed the lawsuit, that she had made up the claims about sexual harassment because she wanted them to cancel her contract two months into signing.

The new statement read,

"Following the signing of our contract last year, Clara repeatedly violated the contract so we sought to rectify [the situation], but she didn't respond so we sent her multiple documented notices [certification of contents]. When we didn't grant her request to cancel the contract, she threatened us with accusation of sexual harassment, and boldy filed her lawsuit. After we pressed charges first, she went and filed a civil suit against us.

Clara has already been sued and went under investigation by the authorities and her father Lee Seung Kyu is also currently under investigation as an accomplice. If Clara's [sexual harassment] claims are true, it is common sense that she files a criminal suit, not a civil suit. But because she can be charged for lying in court in a criminal suit, she opted for a civil suit against us. The claim that she felt sexual humiliation is totally not true, and it is an abusive attack against the agency chairman who places importance on honor.

The agency reps had previously requested for Clara to either fulfill her contract or pay the penalty for breaching the contract. After she received this notice from us, she said that she wanted us to terminate the contract on the term that she was sexually harassed and that if we do not comply with her demands, she will report us to the police.

We told Clara to officially apologize for threatening us with that false claim, and Clara visited the agency [office] and said that everything about the claim of sexual harassment was not true and she had made them up to cancel the contract, as she asked for forgiveness in tears.

In sincere concern for Clara's future and activities, we did not reveal any of this to the public beforehand and hoped that Clara would officially apologize and continue on with her activities as normal, but she then went and filed the lawsuit and the contents of the lawsuit became known to the public. So, because of this, we regrettably have no choice but to reveal the truth about the matter to protect the image of the agency and its other celebrities."

What do you make of their statement? Which side do you think is telling the truth?
