Lee Min Jung and Joo Sang Wook turned into Marilyn Monroe and Superman respectively for this week’s episodes 19 and 20 of MBC drama “Cunning Single Lady.”

Their comic transformation occurred for a scene in which Jung Woo (Joo Sang Wook) was shooting a CF for Dontalk as the company’s CEO.

Although Jung Woo initially protested strongly against being in the CF, he eventually donned the Superman outfit, complete with fake abs. Ex-wife Ae Ra (Lee Min Jung) appeared as Marilyn Monroe, instead of the female colleague who was originally supposed to be in the CF.

Jung Woo was flustered and annoyed upon realizing that it was Ae Ra appearing opposite him. The couple made jabs at one another’s appearances, and while they awkwardly tried to remain aloof during the filming, the chemistry between them was clearly evident.

“Cunning Single Lady” is a romantic comedy about a divorced woman who discovers that her ex-husband has become a chaebol, and tries to return to his side in order to exact her revenge. It airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:00 PM KST on MBC.

Yoo In Na is headed to make her big screen debut in China.

Yoo In Na has been cast as the lead actress in the upcoming Chinese film Wedding Bible, which is a romantic comedy about four people seeking for perfect marriages.

Yoo In Na will acting out the character, who returns to Shanghai to become a college professor after studying in England. Having both intelligence and beauty, she is loved by all men around her, but struggles with lack of friendship in her life.

Chinese actor Godfrey Gao will be acting opposite Yoo In Na as the lead actor. He previously acted in Hollywood film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

The movie will be directed by Huh In Moo, who also directed Yoo In Na’s other project Little Black Dress.

Yoo In Na has been receiving love calls from China after starring in the hit dramaYou Who Came From the Stars, acting as Jun Ji Hyun’s only friend/rival.

While we saw Yoon Han and Lee So Yeon bidding farewell to the show last week,Jung Yoo Mi seems to have no desire to leave her on-screen husband Jung JoonYoung and “We Got Married.”

The actress participated in the press conference of MBC’s new daily drama “Mother’s Garden,” in which she plays one of the leading roles. When asked to share her feelings on acting in movies and dramas, and even appearing on variety at the same time, she replied, “In every way, it has been very tough lately, but it is not time to leave yet.”

“To take care of my physical health, I am giving my body healthy nutrients, but as I constantly don’t have time to sleep, I can’t concentrate. They are pieces that require me to concentrate on everything,” she revealed.

“In the case of ‘We Got Married,’ even though it seems like we only sit quietly and everything looks easy, it requires a lot of energy. After wrapping up filming in the morning, my stomach is extremely empty. Just recently, we shot our wedding photos, and now we have to do our wedding ceremony, and there are still many things left to do. There are many things to show, and I also grew to like it,” she explained.

She concluded, “There are times when I think of wanting to rest a little. It is physically a bit difficult, and truthfully it is too much for me.”

“Mother’s Garden” is the follow-up drama of “King’s Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang,” and will air on weekdays at 8.50pm (KST).

Park Shin Hye has expressed her approval of singer Lee Seung Hwan‘s comebacktrack.

In a recent interview with Korea’s Daily Sports, actor Lee Min Ho dished on his kiss scene with actress Park Shin Hye in the hit drama “The Heirs.”

Park Shin Hye previously talked about their passionate scene, saying, ”I was really surprised,” and “During that kiss scene, I grabbed Lee Min Ho”s shirt.”

Regarding their kiss, Lee Min shared, “Since the kiss was the culmination of all the events and emotions leading up to it, there was no other alternative than to do it for real.”

He continued, ”I did regret that no one told Park Shin Hye beforehand. Usually actresses are given an idea of what will happen. So I think Park Shin Hye was caught off-guard by how it played out.”

140308 “You Who Came From the Stars” makes front page of Washington Post

SBS’s “You Who Came From the Stars” has been gathering attention even after ending last month.

On America’s weekly newspaper, the Washington Post, the issue released on the 8th of March featured an article about the drama on the first page, titled “Chinese officials debate why China can’t make a soap opera as good as South Korea’s”.

In the article, it mentioned several problems China had been facing with government corruption and economic slowdowns, yet the highest topic of interest seemed to be “You Who Came From the Stars”.

It also mentioned how the fried chicken industry had shown a sharp increase in sales due to a particular scene in the drama, to the point that a pregnant woman in China had craved fried chicken and beer quite frequently late at night.

This article made it on to the first page of the Washington Post due to the fact that it addressed one of China’s weaknesses: despite that China was the biggest country in Asia, and despite that it’s culture was the root of many Asian countries, why couldn’t China produce such successful dramas like Korea, or animations like Japan?

It was reported that this huge popularity of other cultures’ media has hurt China’s pride and have put them in a potentially risky situation.
