It could be Han Chae Young. But she is not considering playing the girl who finally teaches Jang Geun Suk the meaning of true love. Instead she's up for the role of Hong Yura, a character who has been described as charming and alluring.
The star of "Ad Genius Lee Tae Baek" recently returned to Korea from the U.S. to have her baby but she also expressed her desire to work there after the birth.
Here are a few things you may want to know about this actress who has been called the "Korean Barbie" for her stunning figure.
1) She grew up in the U.S., near Chicago, and attended high school there, although she has described her family upbringing as traditionally Korean. She grew up speaking both languages and her fluent English helped her land roles in English-speaking films.
2) Han married a Seoul native Choi Dong Jun, who now lives in the U.S. They met shortly after her Korean debut in 1998 and were friends for eight years before marrying. A graduate of U.C. Berkley, he has his own business as well as working in a financial investment firm. Han describes her husband as sweet, sincere and reliable.
"I watched him for years and I came to believe I could spend a lifetime with him," she said. "Even if I am reborn, I would marry my husband again."
3) Although her husband and parents remained in the U.S. Han returned to Korea this summer to give birth to her first child. She had a boy in late August and recently released a photo of her baby's feet because fans were so eager to get a glimpse of her child.
4) Her best-known role was playing the hardworking Sung Choon Hyang in the drama "Delightful Girl Choon Hyang." The character Choon Hyang worked several part time jobs to support herself and her mother. She's kind and sweet-tempered until someone gets her really mad. Then she won't back down.
5) An actor she would love to work with is Yoo Seung Hoo. On an episode of MBC's Section TV Entertainment News, she confessed that he became her favorite actor after she saw him on the drama "Missing You."
"I think Yoo Seung Ho is the best," she said, when asked whom she would like to act with. "I'd like to play the love interest of one of his characters. He used to be just cute but now he's hot."
As Yoo Seung Ho is currently fulfilling his military duty, for now, she will have to settle for possibly acting with Jang Geun Suk.
