The promotional wheel for the upcoming drama SBS “The Heirs” started recently with pictures of the first script reading and it continues to churn out the excitement with stills for lead actors Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye.
“The Heirs” is under the helm of “Tazza” and “Midas” director Kang Shin Hyo, and written by Kim Eun Sook who did “Lovers in Paris,” “Secret Garden” and “A Gentleman’s Dignity.” It is a rom-com that will center on the love and friendship of high school students from the top 0.1% of society.
Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye lead the drama, with Kim Woo Bin, Choi Jin Hyuk, f(x)’s Krystal, ZE:A’s Park Hyung Sik, Kang Ha Neul, CNBlue‘s Kang MinHyuk, Im Joo Eun, and Kim Ji Won rounding out the main cast.
Lee Min Ho plays the role of Kim Tan, the heir to the Empire conglomerate and was born with everything, including a tragic backstory. The stills are from his first day of filming on August 22 and show Lee Min Ho riding his luxury car, befitting his 0.1% top level status. The word from the set has it that Lee Min Ho was focused, ready, and cheerful on his first day of filming, bringing up the mood of the staff and atmosphere on the set.
Park Shin Hye plays the role of Cha Eun Sang, who did not inherit wealthy but poverty. Which of course means in the drama world that she is a plucky young woman who receives the love all the rich men around her. Park Shin Hye’s first day of filming was on August 16 and the stills show her working in the kitchen of a wedding hall. The word from the set is that Park Shin Hye worked along with the director to fully express her character, showing her years of experience of acting despite her young age.
The drama is set to premiere October 9 with a run of 20 episodes. Can’t wait for more stills of the rest of the cast!
