130301 Lee Young-ae’s New Role Is All About Kids

Actress Lee Young-ae, who disappeared from the limelight after surprising fans by suddenly getting hitched in 2009, recently moved to a countryside home in Yangpyeong, just east of Seoul, built to raise her twins in a clean, natural environment, and started a business specializing in infant-care products.

Lee said she and her husband are enjoying their life in the countryside. Her spouse is particularly fond of the rural surroundings as it reminds him of the neighborhood on the outskirts of Chicago where he grew up.

“I’ll resume acting if I see a script I really like”, said Lee, who gave birth to a boy and girl in 2011. However, she said her children are currently the main focus of her life.

“As an actress, I used to think it was important to have a wide-ranging spectrum of experiences”, she said, adding that she is now more selective and socially responsible. “Now my desire to help create a better world for children to live in has become my main criteria for choosing a script”.

“In the past, I focused only on the character I was set to play, but nowadays I’m very concerned about the impact the film will have on my children and on society”.

Lee said her fans should not expect to see her starring in violent movies or playing villainous characters anytime soon. She said she discussed with her husband what she could do to create a better world for children, drawing on her popularity from starring in the Chosun dynasty court cook story “Jewel in the Palace”, and decided to open a business dedicated to organic products for infants.

As well as promoting environmentally friendly products for young toddlers, she hopes to share her child-rearing experiences with other moms.

130301 Han Hyo Joo Participates in "InStyle" 10th Anniversary Charity Pictorial

Actress Han Hyo Joo was among the beautiful celebrities featured on “InStyle Magazine” for its 10th year anniversary edition. In celebration of the magazine’s milestone decade, the people behind “InStyle” chose to launch a charity project and enlisted the help of people to work on the magazine pro-bono. Celebrities, such as Han Hyo Joo, took on the suggestion to donate their talents and promote the different causes.

Han Hyo Joo’s shoot included an interview with her. Her participation in the “InStyle” project goes towards helping elderly people, and as such, she has gamely posed for the cameras.

In one of the photos, she is captured in a bright and cheerful mood, leaping in front of the camera for a graceful jump shot.

Staff from “InStyle” were quoted as saying, “Han Hyo Joo showed an innocent and sunny look on set. More than that, she showed a heart of good care for the society, as evidenced by her making time for this shoot despite her busy schedule.”

The charity issue of “InStyle” featuring Han Hyo Joo doubles as its March release, with a book on the theme, “Love Actually.”

Actor Jo In Sung and actress Song Hye Kyo will go on a date in the snow.

On the seventh episode of SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday series That Winter The Wind Blows, which will air on February 28, Jo and Song couple and Kim Beom and A pink’s Jung Eun Ji couple will go on a double date.

In the pictures, Jo and Song are laying down on the snow while taking self portraits together. Kim and Jung are also having fun riding the sled together.

The scene was taken at a ski resort in Gangwon-do. The four actors and actresses looked excited as if they went on a real vacation.

Brave Brothers experienced a bit of an uncomfortable moment during his ‘study session’ with actress Yoo In Na.

On the February 26th broadcast of KBS2′s ‘Moonlight Prince,’ Yoo In Na became Brave Brothers teacher to study the youth poem book ‘The Red‘. It seems all fine up to this point, so what caused the awkward moment?

The moment came as the two were going through the book when they spotted a poem titled, ‘Wet Dreams’. Yoo In Na, like her carefree self, began to crack up as she even read the word out loud, completely flustering the K-pop hitmaker.

Not so keen on discussing this particular topic on broadcast, Brave Brothers asked, “Can we just skip this poem?” bringing much laughs.

The two agreed that they will read that particular poem on their own time and eventually steered the discussion in a different direction.

130227 Yoo In Na Talks About Being Bullied in High School

Actress Yoo In Na recently shared her experience being singled out by her peers during high school.

On February 26, she made a guest appearance on KBS’s variety program “Moonlight Prince” along with Secret’s Han Sun Hwa. For this episode, the show focused on poet Park Sung Woo’s poem collection “I’m Red” and the emcees and guests shared their adolescent experiences.

On this day, Yoo In Na started off, “In high school, my homeroom teacher was really biased and showed me much favoritism.”

She continued, “However, it’s because of this that my friends singled me out and I became a loner. At the time, I was preparing to be a celebrity so my hair was a little longer than what was allowed and the teachers accommodated a lot for me. I think other classmates were mean because the teachers were really nice to me.”

She went on, “At lunchtime, I would come back to the classroom with a close friend and would see that my chair was wobbly. Also, there would be side dishes on my table. Since it’s on my desk, I have to clean it up. That’s why, since I host a radio program now, I would hear stories about students being bullied and I would really feel for them.”

Yoo In-na said, “I had longer hair than the others because I was preparing to be an actress and my teacher adored me — it resulted in me being bullied”.

“It’s a bad memory for me, so if I hear a story about bullying on my radio, I’ll try to comfort the person as much as I can”.

Actress Park Sin-hye said goodbye to tvN drama “The Pretty Boy Next Door“.
Park Sin-hye said, “I was happy with Ko Dok-mi for three months. I learnt something new and I hope you all enjoyed it too. I hope many people opened up through the drama and have a good day”.
She posted the words, “Bye Ko Dok-mi” on her Twitter.

Park took on the role of Ko Dok-mi, a girl who shut herself up after being hurt by people around her. She ended up in love with Enrique Geum (Yoon Si-yoon) and met a happy ending.
Meanwhile, Park Sin-hye has been busy with the drama and another movie called, “Miracle in Cell No.7” and is currently preparing her Asian tour in the following month in March.

130226 Lee Min-jeong’s grandfather dies at 86

Lee Min-jeong is adjusting her TV drama and commercial filming schedules to mourn the death of her grandfather, sources close to the actress told Ilgan Sports.

Her grandfather, Park No-soo, a renowned painter, passed away at Severance Hospital in Sinchon, central Seoul, on Monday morning. He was 86.

Park, an important figure in Korean art history, led the first generation of modernized traditional Korean ink painters who emerged after the country’s liberation from the Japanese imperialists.

In that style, black ink is combined with vivid colors such as cobalt blue and deep yellow that had rarely been used in traditional paintings before.

Lee returned to Seoul late last week after filming a television commercial in the United States. Her boyfriend, actor Lee Byeong-Heon, could not appear at the funeral parlor in the hospital due to scheduling conflicts in the United States related to the promotion of “GI Joe 2: Retaliation”, which will be released on March 28 worldwide, the source said.

Career
Han Hyo-joo was first discovered in a teenage beauty pageant in 2003. She began her acting career in the sitcom Nonstop 5 and the gangster comedyMy Boss, My Teacher. Han raised her profile by being cast in Spring Waltz, the fourth and final installment of TV director Yoon Seok-ho's Season Dramas series, following Autumn in My Heart, Winter Sonata and Summer Scent.

In 2006 director Lee Yoon-ki cast the newbie in the starring role in his low-budget indie Ad-lib Night, which follows a young woman who rediscovers herself through an eerie overnight encounter with strangers. Han followed that with two highly successful TV projects - KBS daily drama Like Land and Sky in 2007 and SBS masked-adventurer series Iljimae in 2008. She made another independent film, Ride Away, which debuted at the 2008 Jeonju International Film Festival.

Han filmed the Korean-Japanese telecinema co-production Heaven's Postman in 2008, which also featured popstar Jaejoong from TVXQ (now JYJ). After several postponements, the telecinema was released in late 2009.

In 2009 her Cinderella drama Brilliant Legacy (co-starring Lee Seung-gi) became a massive hit, reaching a peak viewership rating of 47.1%. After the drama's conclusion, Han experienced a sharp rise in endorsement deals and media requests for interviews, as well as increased pan-Asian popularity.

Later that year Han wrapped up her starring role in the musical drama Soul Special, which also featured K.Will in his acting debut. It aired in twelve five-minute segments on various online portals, with KBS airing the entire drama in four parts.

As the titular character in MBC's 49th Anniversary Project Dong Yi, Han won several acting awards for her portrayal of Choi Suk-bin and cemented her status as a Hallyu star.

She then played a blind telemarketer opposite So Ji-sub's ex-boxer in the melodrama Always. Helmed by director Song Il-gon, it premiered as the opening film of the 2011 Busan International Film Festival.

After playing the queen to Lee Byung-hun's Gwanghae in the blockbuster period film Masquerade,Han 

starred opposite Go Soo in Love 911, an unlikely romance between a firefighter and a doctor.

Han's 4th commercial film, Stakeout, which also stars Sol Kyung-gu, Jung Woo-sung and 2PM's Junho, began shooting at the end of October 2012.

Personal life
Han's mother worked as an elementary school teacher before becoming an inspector for public schools and her father worked in the military. As a child, she was good in sports and enjoyed track & field. In her sophomore year of high school, she moved to Seoul and attended Bulgok High School. Although her father, conservative and strict, opposed her move to Seoul, she was able to go forth with her wishes. After high school she attended Dongguk University, where she joined the theatre and film department. Her hobbies include singing and writing and her talents are playing the piano, telling fairy tales, writing, running and fencing. Han has a younger brother and is currently single.
